It is a title only a few Europeans have ever earned: #1 on the World Rankings of the APHA or AQHA. A few years ago, the now successful AQHA competitor Laura Pfeifer for instance, was #1 in Youth Solid Paint Bred two years in a row. Since then, however, Europeans were hardly found in first place on the World Rankings list, another one among them was Danish native Laura Schultz. Until now: Well-known competitor and 24-time APHA European Champion Alena Helmcke is now officially the #1 in the World Rankings Amateur Solid Paint Bred. Together with her 5-year-old mare Hot Intent aka Kay Alena beat out APHA competitors from all over the world.
However, this story is not solely a happy story: Kay is by One Hot Krymsun out of Alena’s famous mare Shes Doolins Nikita. Together, Alena and ‚Niki‘ have earned 14 European Champion titles and were a force to be reckoned with in the Amateur Allround classes. Until 2013, when Kay was born and Niki passed away due to complications during birth. The whole APHA industry in Europe was shocked and the PHCG introduced the Shes Doolins Nikita to their Hall Of Fame the following year.
Hot Intent, however, did her Mom’s legacy justice and already earned some medals in In-Hand events as a yearling and 2-year-old. Last year she outdid herself, winning four European Champion titles at the Euro Paint and being crowned All Around Champion Amateur SPB. All in all, Kay has won eleven medals at the Euro Paint in her life, seven of them being gold. Alena’s success almost goes beyond measuring: She has won 53 medals in total during her career at Europe’s biggest APHA show.
As you can see, being #1 on the World Rankings is more than deserved for this outstanding athlete! We would like to congratulate Alena and Kay to this prestigious title!
Das ist wirklich einer der Titel, mit dem sich wenige Europäer schmücken können: Platz eins auf der Weltrangliste der APHA oder der AQHA. Vor einigen Jahren gewann beispielsweise Laura Pfeifer, die mittlerweile erfolgreich bei der AQHA startet, diesen Titel mit ihrem mittlerweile verstorbenen Wallach Hesa Nigel Paycheck. Danach kam es kaum vor, dass jemand aus Europa diesen Titel verliehen bekam. Bis jetzt: Alena Helmcke, seit Jahren erfolgreiche APHA Amateur Reiterin und 24-fache Europameisterin, ist jetzt offiziell #1 auf der Weltrangliste der Amateur Solid Paint Breds. Zusammen mit ihrer fünfjährigen Stute Hot Intent aka Kay holte Alena in Europa mehr Punkte als andere APHA-Reiter aus der ganzen Welt.
Allerdings ist ihre Geschichte nicht nur von Erfolg und schönen Momenten gesprägt: Kay ist von One Hot Krymsun aus Alenas europaweit bekannter Stute Shes Doolins Nikita. Alena und „Niki“ wurden 14-mal European Champion und eine gefürchtete Konkurrenz in den APHA Amateur Allround Klassen. Bis zum Jahr 2013, als Kay geboren wurde und Niki tragischerweise an den Folgen der Geburt verstarb. Ein Ereignis, das die ganze europäische APHA Szene schockte. Der PHCG führte Shes Doolins Nikita daraufhin in deren Hall Of Fame ein.
Hot Intent hingegen wurde ihrer Abstammung und dem Vermächtnis von Shes Doolins Nikita mehr als gerecht und gewann bereits als junges Pferd in den In-Hand-Klassen diverse Medaillen. Allein letztes Jahr gewann sie viermal Gold auf der Euro Paint und wurde Allround Champion Amateur SPB. Insgesamt gewann Kay in ihrem Leben elf Medaillen auf der Euro Paint Gold, davon sieben Mal Gold. Alenas Medaillen gehen fast ins Unermessliche: Insgesamt 53 Medaillen gewann sie bisher auf der größten APHA Show in Europa.
Kein Wunder also, dass Alena mittlerweile auch in den World Rankings so weit vorne zu finden ist. Wir gratulieren ihr und Hot Intent zu diesem großartigen Erfolg!
