Here, we feature all European horse shows that do take place despite the Corona situation. We work. We sweat. We cry. We, fail, one time, another time and still try. We criticise, yet never doubt ourselves, we push forward. We get up early, we ignore our sore legs, we put on a neat shirt and show. We fight against all odds. And we win. We are European Champions, Futurity Champions, National Champions and sometimes the queens and kings of hearts. We are equestrians. We know how to defeat a crisis, even Corona. We know how to push through. We will be back. ?

Wir arbeiten hart. Wir schwitzen. Wir weinen. Wir machen Fehler, einmal, zweimal und probieren es doch immer wieder. Wir hinterfragen, aber zweifeln nie. Wir stehen in aller Herrgottsfrühe auf, ignorieren den Muskelkater und ziehen unser Showoutfit an, reiten los und gewinnen. Wir sind Europameister, Futurity Champions, Deutsche Meister und manchmal Sieger der Herzen. Wir als Reiter wissen, wie man mit Krisen umgeht, wie man aus ihnen gestärkt hervorgeht, auch Corona kann uns nichts anhaben. Wir sehen uns wieder. ?

Excelling as an equestrian takes a lot of work, that blood, sweat and tears thing. Given the fact that we all know how much dedication it takes to compete at a high level in our sport, it might come as a surprise to see someone excelling in another sport as well. We do, however, have some people in our industry who manage to do just that. Kateřina Holoubková from the Czech Republic is one of them: She has been successfully showing at the VWB classes in Kreuth, including the Golden Series Showmanship – but whenever she is not riding, she spends time on the ice. Kateřina is part of Team Olympia, the Czech Team that competes at the World Championship for Synchronized Skating.
She is only 13 years old, but answers like a grown-up, she is new to the VWB e.V. shows, but did them like a pro: Meet Golden Series Showmanship Reserve Champion Nicola Eger and her horse Suddenly Wise N Good. Nicola talked about her goals, role models and what she does not like about the industry. Interview includes her Showmanship run as well!
