Trainer A Western Riding
It is important that the horse is in forward motion when doing leg yieldxt, Sandra stresses. “Use the outer rein to keep the horse’s body straight. Maintain an angle of 45 degrees, otherwise the horse is facing the rail.” While doing the leg yield, you horse should cross its feet. If you are more advanced, you can do this at a trot and one-handed, ideally on the diagonal, Sandra points out. Check out the video to see what she means!
