In this part of our series #stallionsunday, we are introducing a young, colourful stallion that has already been successful on the European APHA Circuit: CR Game Set Match. Nina Hardok has told us everything about her stallion, their daily routine and why she decided to stand him as a breeding stud at an early age.
A Challenge: Finding Foal Names
Everything in the horse industry is full of challenges. Some are harder or annoying, some are fun. The one we are going to deal with in this article definitely one of the latter: finding the perfect name for a newborn foal. You want it to sound good, be creative or funny, bear meaning and – ideally – match the horse’s looks or personality. While some people tend to create a mix out of the sire’s and dam’s names, other breeders are more free and creative. We have talked to three breeders who have each told us how they choose show and barn names for the newborns.
#stallionsunday: TFR A Wisely Dream
It’s #stallionsunday again and this time, we are introducing a stallion that is not only living in Europe, but was born and raised in Europe: TFR A Wisely Dream. We talked to owners Ria Vikum Weitz and André Weitz about their stallion, his daily routine and his offspring.
#stallionsunday: Chocolate After Dark
This is the next part of our series #stallionsunday in which we introduce several European allround stallions. The one that we wanted to know a little more about this time is a stallion that has been living in Europe for only a few weeks: Chocolate After Dark. Rikke Benjaminsen and Bernhard Schießl who run RB Showhorse purchased the stallion from Max and Mari Guerri. Chocolate After Dark is by Chips Hot Chocolate out of Invite Me After Dark. Rikke shared some more information about this seven-year-old AQHA stallion.
